Step-by-Step Hipobuy Spreadsheet Tutorial

This tutorial walks you through every single step of building a functional hipobuy spreadsheet. You do not need any experience. Just open Google Sheets and follow along. By the end, you will have a working tracker that you can use for your next order.

Step 1: Create Your Sheet

Open Google Sheets and click Blank. Name your sheet Order Tracker. This will be your main workspace. You can create additional sheets later for different agents or time periods.

Set up your column headers in row 1. Make them bold. Add a light background color so they stand out. These headers are the foundation of your system.

Step 2: Enter Your First Item

In row 2, add your first item. For example: Item Name = Nike Dunk Low, Link = the product URL, Size = 42, Color = Panda, Price = 45, Qty = 2.

Leave the calculated columns empty for now. We will add formulas in the next step.

Step 3: Add Formulas

In the Total column (I2), enter: =E2*F2+G2+H2. This calculates total cost. In the Profit column (K2), enter: =J2-I2. This shows your profit per item.

Select these cells and drag the fill handle down to copy the formulas to future rows. Now every new row will auto-calculate.

Step 4: Track Status

Create a status column with dropdown values. In Google Sheets, select the column, go to Data > Data validation, and enter these options: Ordered, In Warehouse, Shipped, Delivered, QC Issue.

This prevents typos and keeps your status tracking consistent.

Step 5: Add Color Coding

Conditional formatting makes your sheet visual. Select the Status column, go to Format > Conditional formatting, and create rules: green for Delivered, yellow for Shipped, red for QC Issue.

Now you can see your order health at a glance without reading every row.
